Introduction

 

Reproductive health refers to healthy reproductive organs with normal functions. However,it has a broader perspective as it involves well- being in other aspects too. According to World Health Organisation (WHO), reproductive health means well being in physical, emotional, behavioural and social aspects of reproduction. Therefore, reproductively, a healthy society comprises of people having physically and functionally normal reproductive organs and normal emotional and behavioural interactions among them in all sex-related aspects. This chapterdeals with problems and strategies for reproductive health, various options of contraception (population control). knowledge of sexually transmitted tnfections, causes and remedy of infertility and assisted reproductive technologies.
